Classes for our Fall/Spring Dance Session start Monday, August 14, 2023!
Dress Rehearsals/Recitals are TENTATIVELY June 8 & 9 but this is
not final until we can confirm with our venue.

Mon, Aug 14: Classes begin!

Sept 4: Labor Day - AODA Closed

Sept 25-30 Bring A Friend To Dance Week
Students may bring a friend or sibling to class during this week for free! Guest must be appropriate age and skill level for the class and will need to sign a waiver.

Sun, Oct 1: Open Auditions

Oct 23-28: Wear Costumes To Dance Week
Students may wear old dance costumes or non-scary Halloween costumes to classes. Costumes should still be modest and able to be danced in, and students should bring their normal dance shoes.

Nov 15: Non-refundable Recital Costume Fee(s) Due
For those set up on recurring payments, you will have your costume fees auto drafted on Nov 15 or the next business day. See our Rates & Info page for more info.

Nov 22-25: Thanksgiving Break - AODA Closed

Sat, Dec 9, 2-5pm: Annual Winter Showcase

Dec 13-19: Pajama Week
Students may wear pajamas (Christmas or normal PJs) to their last class before Christmas Break! Pajamas should still be modest and able to be danced in, and students should bring their normal dance shoes.

Dec 20-Jan 1: Christmas Break - AODA Closed

Mon, Jan 15: Registration Closes for Recital Classes
Some technique classes that do not perform in recital may still be open to registration! Contact office for more details.

Mon, Jan 15: MLK, Jr. - AODA Closed

Sat, Mar 16: Wear Green
Instead of their normal required dance attire, students may opt to wear green on this day for St. Patrick’s Day! Students should make sure everything is modest and able to be danced in, and they should also still bring their normal dance shoes.

Apr 1-6: Easter/Spring Break - AODA Closed

April 15-20: Recital Picture Week
Picture Week takes place at the studio during normal class time. For more information about Picture Week, please click here.

May 6-11: AODA Spirit Week
Each day during Spirit Week will have a different theme of how dancers can dress for class that day. Our normal dress code should still be followed and students should still bring their normal dance shoes!

  • Monday: Crazy Hair & Socks Day
    (make sure you can still dance in them!)

  • Tuesday: Disney Day
    (rep your favorite Disney character!)

  • Wednesday: Wear Blue Day
    (rep AODA by wearing blue and AODA merch)

  • Thursday: Decades Day
    (dress from your fave decade)Disney Day

  • Friday: Twin Day
    (pick a sibling or friend at AODA to match with)

  • Saturday: Wild Card Day
    (pick any one of the previous themes)

May 20-25: Gift/Award Week
Teachers will present small gifts at the end of each student’s first class of the week. Some students who have been with us a certain number of years will also receive a small award.

Mon, May 27: Memorial Day - AODA Closed

May 31 - June 6: Pajama Week
This week, students may wear pajamas to their last class before recital. Pajamas should still be modest and able to be danced in, and students should bring their normal dance shoes.

June 7 & 8: Dress Rehearsals & Recitals
