Disney Dance Camp & Sonic-the-Hedgehog Dance Camp

In these different camps, children will receive an hour of ballet/tap instruction and enjoy a unique craft, personal snacks, and fun games with their friends. This is a great camp for siblings and friends to do together — they’ll be sure to make lots of memories! Each camp will finish with a short performance for family/friends at the studio on Friday, time TBA.

NOTE: Any students who are enrolled in a morning dance class over our Summer Session but wish to attend any of these camps may make-up any missed dance class with another class of a similar age.

Children should:
-
Wear dance clothes (If they do not have dance attire, they should wear comfortable clothing such as leggings and a t-shirt.)
- Bring ballet and tap shoes (If they do not have dance shoes, they should bring socks with grips. Also keep in mind that socks may receive black marks due to our dance floor.)
- Bring their own small snack and water (We have snacks and water available for purchase, but if students wish to bring their own, snacks should be non-greasy and water should be in a labelled, non-spilling water bottle.)

Choreography/Improvisation Intensive (Ages 11+)

In this intensive, students will be able to let all their creative juices flow! Students will learn different aspects on how to create choreography. They will learn the different dynamics that can be put into a dance piece, along with how to story-tell through their movements. Improvisation will also be incorporated in this intensive. Improvisation allows a student to develop their creativity, and allows them to explore new movements and ideas while dancing. Each day will include time for personal lunch and extensive work on choreography for their closing performances. Family and friends are invited to attend their performance, which will be held at the studio on Friday (the last day of the intensive).

Students should:
- Wear clothing that does NOT hinder dancing (ensure clothing matches our general dress code, such as, no jeans, no showing of cleavage, midriff, booty shorts without tights/leggings underneath, etc.)
- Dance barefoot or bring Foot-undeez or Contemporary socks (If they do not have Foot-undeez or contemporary socks, and do not want to dance barefoot, they should bring socks with grips. Also keep in mind that socks may receive black marks due to our dance floor.)
- Bring their own small snack and water (We have snacks and water available for purchase, but if students wish to bring their own, snacks should be non-greasy and water should be in a labeled, non-spilling water bottle.)
